ITINERARY:
Day
1 - Cairns to Cape Tribulation
Start your East Coast journey today as we travel north over
the crocodile infested Johnson River towards the World Heritage
Daintree Rainforest area and our hideaway retreat. There are
lots of layback options to select from including a rainforest
spotlighting walk, a stroll down to the beach or a swim in
the pool to cool off.
Day
2 & 3 - Cape Tribulation to Mission Beach
You may wish to start your day with an optional 3 hour sea
kayaking cruise (own expense) before we wind our way back
down along the coastline through Cairns to the Boulders, where
there's time for a refreshing swim. Our destination today
and for the next two nights is tropical Mission Beach. Known
as the adrenaline capital of the north, Mission Beach offers
many optional activities. Why not take a full day white-water
rafting trip down the mighty Tully River. Those with a strong
sense of adventure can try tandem skydiving, landing on the
beach or catch the water taxi out to Dunk Island for some
stunning rainforest hiking. You could go on a fishing charter,
relax on the 14 km of pristine beach or go for a rainforest
hike in search of the elusive Cassowary. (Day 2: B, Day 3:
BD)
Day
4 - Mission Beach to Whitsunday Sailing
It's an early start as we travel south through Townsville
and miles of sugarcane plantations. At Airlie Beach we board
our private chartered yacht for two magical days and nights
sailing the finest waters in the world - the Whitsunday Islands.
Note that you will sleep on the boat, moored in quiet coves.
Cabins are multi-share only; no twins or doubles for these
two nights. (BD)
Day
5 - Whitsunday Sailing
You have the opportunity to sun bathe, snorkel and swim whilst
exploring the idyllic Whitsunday Islands on board a million
dollar yacht. Visit the many beaches, coves and islands on
this two night sailing trip. You can even help hoist the sails
and take the wheel. (BLD)
Day
6 - Whitsunday Sailing to Kroombit Cattle Station
Back on land at Airlie Beach, we head inland through cattle
country to Kroombit Cattle Station. Here we experience genuine
outback living with the chance to ride a mechanical bull and
take a walk of the property. Tonight you will taste a traditional
camp oven dinner, cooked in the open fire and learn the art
of cracking a whip! (BD)
Day
7 - Kroombit Cattle Station
Today is jam-packed with wonderful activities included in
the price of your tour. Learn first-hand about Queensland
farming life as you participate in a "goat muster" on horseback,
try your skill at trap-shooting and be part of a mini-rodeo
as animals are herded into the ring. This evening enjoy another
hearty camp-oven dinner and re-live your day's experiences
around the campfire with a beer from the bush bar. (BLD)
Day
8 - Kroombit to Rainbow Beach
We start early today with a hearty breakfast before our big
drive from Kroombit to Rainbow Beach. This is the first time
we've hit the coast in a few days and we now follow the coast
down to arrive at this vibrant young coastal town with glistening
coloured sands and a relaxed atmosphere. This evening relax
over a BBQ in our accommodation, located just 100 metres from
the beach. (BD)
Day
9 & 10 - Fraser Island 4WD Tag along Tour
We spend the next two days exploring Fraser Island on a locally
